Entrevista a Nocturnus Horrendus de CORPUS CHRISTII, con motivo del NOX AETERNA Extreme Metal Alliances Fest.

Portugal es una tierra de leyendas oscuras desde albores lejanos, muchos nombres resuenan en los ecos de valles y bosques lusitanos como presagios de terror para aquellos desventurados a los cuales la noche les pilla desprevenidos. Pero uno de los mas oídos es, sin duda, Corpus Christii. Entidad nacida de los conjuros maléficos de Nocturnus Horrendus (Morte Incandescente, Storm Legion y ex-Irae en vivo entre otros) e Ignis Nox, en una fecha tan lejana pero tan presente en la memoria como es 1998. Desde entonces, a pesar de numerosos cambios, nuevas energías fueron dando más y más fuerza, y Corpus Christii sigue entonces y ahora como un estandarte de las buenas artes oscuras que nunca debieron perderse.

Después de años sin pisar tierras barcelonesas ni madrileñas y siendo primicia en Valencia, demostraran por qué su Black Metal gran reserva de la vieja escuela sigue siendo tan contundente como desde el primer día, si no más, tras 26 años en la brecha. No perdimos la oportunidad de poder hacerle unas preguntas al gran Nocturnus Horrendus…

REA-Bienvenidos a nuestra humilde morada, es un placer teneros por aquí.

NOCTURNUS HORRENDUS – El placer es mío.

REA-Creo que sobran las presentaciones tras más de 25 años dedicados al black metal. ¿Cómo se lleva eso de ser una de las bandas más importantes de la escena blacker lusa, por no decir la más representativa y prolífica o al menos una de las más conocidas? Cuéntanos en qué momento se encuentra la banda.

Precisamente el otro día tuve esa conversación con Vulturius del IRAE. Con gran sacrificio y fuerza he soportado la más dura de las batallas a la hora de tener una banda. Han sido 26 años llenos de devoción y verdadero orgullo por lo que verdaderamente es el Black Metal. Sólo puedo decir que me siento privilegiado de ser parte de una escena así y de haber vivido los viejos tiempos. Días así que la gente nueva nunca experimentará y eso es una verdadera lástima. Todavía estamos aquí hoy y hacemos todo lo posible para continuar con nuestra causa de difundir la Luz de Lucifer y hacer que las personas se sientan parte de algo importante. Ahora estado con una nueva fuerza y ​​voluntad de hacer más y continuar luchando contra todo eso. Contra el vergonzoso y artificial Black Metal. Realmente nada ha cambiado para mí, soy la misma persona y lo siento como si todavía tuviera 17 años o algo así. ¡El camino continúa!

REA- Nueve largos, además de numerosos ep’s y splits. Una trayectoria envidiable que ha pasado por varias etapas en lo sonoro, y en la que imagino que han existido dificultades al depender todo de tí, Nocturnus. Cuéntanos sobre los puntos de inflexión, para bien o para mal, dentro del timeline de Corpus Christii. 

Como cualquier banda, tuvimos nuestros problemas, sobre todo intentando conseguir gente decente para tocar con nosotros y conseguir conciertos. Fue una verdadera batalla hacer que el BM portugués fuera relevante. Fueron muchos años tratando de demostrar que hacemos lo nuestro, que no somos imitadores. Por supuesto que tenemos nuestras influencias como tantas, pero yo tengo mi propio toque y normalmente la gente que escucha a nuestra banda sabe lo que está escuchando. Intento no pensar tanto en las dificultades del pasado y centrarme en el presente porque se está volviendo más difícil. Es más complicado conseguir conciertos y simplemente no perder dinero. Nunca hice esto para hacer carrera, pero tampoco estoy dispuesto a perder dinero. Hay menos lugares, más gastos, en algunos casos menos público y demás. Así que uno debe simplemente continuar su camino e intentar todo lo que se pueda hacer.

REA-«The Bitter End of Old» (Immortal Frost, 2022) fue vuestro último largo publicado. Un disco en el que continuábais por la senda del sonido algo experimental y ortodoxo, o al menos diferente, que ya ofrecisteis en el genial  «Delusion» (2017, Folter Recs). Disco que recibió alguna mala crítica que otra. Háblanos o explica como se ha desarrollado la evolución sonora de Corpus Christii y cuáles han sido los motivos. ¿Que nivel de satisfacción habéis alcanzado con «The Bitter End…»?

Me importa lo que a nuestros fans les importa, no las críticas. Estoy muy orgulloso de «Delusion» y creo que si la gente lo escucha con atención, le gustará. Nuestra principal batalla es que nuestros álbumes son los llamados «en crecimiento», que necesitas escuchar más para entenderlos realmente y en estos días no mucha gente se interesa por escuchar algo. Ahora todo es inmediato y busca la satisfacción instantánea. No se trata de eso. Me preocupo por crear rompecabezas y convertirlos en un desafío para el oyente. Quiero decir, no somos AC/DC, hay que escuchar con atención y abrir la mente. Así, a quién le importa, quién hace bien el esfuerzo lo sabrá disfrutar. The Bitter End… podría ser un álbum un poco más «fácil», pero tiene tantas cosas jodidas que la gente podría sorprenderse un poco. Pero una vez más, ¿a quién le importa realmente? Hago lo que quiero hacer y nunca repitiendo exactamente lo mismo dos veces, eso es para gente patética con talento limitado.

REA- El motivo principal de que paséis por aquí es la inminente minigira que os llevará por Madrid, Barcelona y Valencia dentro del festival colaborativo NOX AETERNA. ¿Supongo que con muchas ganas e ilusión ante una oportunidad como esta? Primera vez en Valencia si no me equivoco. 

Primera vez en Valencia sí. Me parece muy raro que toquemos tan poco para nuestros hermanos de España. Muchos años sin tocar allí, sólo en Vigo. Siempre tuvimos buena conexión con Vigo. Quizás las cosas cambien ahora. No me importa que hayan pasado tantos años. Estamos ansiosos por tocar para nuestros hermanos y hermanas en España. Eso es todo lo que realmente importa. Creo que la escena BM española tiene mucho que ofrecer y estoy encantado de formar parte de ella.

REA – A lo largo de tu extensa carrera te has sabido rodear de grandes músicos ¿Con que formación os presentáis en esta minigira? 

Andrecadente en la batería, quien ha estado con nosotros intermitentemente durante mucho tiempo y grabó la batería para los dos últimos álbumes. Koraxid al bajo que lleva ya unos tres años con nosotros y en la gran banda local Grievance (échadle un vistazo). Y D.S. a la guitarra, musico de sesión que toca en IRAE y Necrobode, y que estuvo en Analepsy, ya que J. Goat no está disponible ya que anda de gira con Vltimas, así que tenemos que necesitabamos a un tipo de sesión que haga bien su trabajo.

REA – A D.S. tuvimos la oportunidad de verle en el bolazo que se marcaron Irae y Necrobode hace pocos días en Madrid junto a Sargeist. ¿Te ha comentado sus sensaciones de aquel día? Una sala con cierta complicación acústica, pero a la que pudimos sacar ese día el máximo rendimiento. 

Estoy preparado para la mayoría de situaciones, somos profesionales y siempre lo hacemos funcionar de la mejor manera.

REA – Este tipo de iniciativas que llevan a cabo asociaciones dedicadas al metal extremo y en parte las culpables de que la escena siga sobreviviendo ante la poca oportunidad que hay por otros medios profesionales como son promotores, agencias y demás. ¿Cómo se dio el contacto para entrar en un paquete de grupos tan interesante? ¿Cómo valoráis la iniciativa? 

Creo que me contactaron. No lo recuerdo realmente. Apreciamos todas las iniciativas. Lo que importa es que las cosas se hagan y les vaya bien a todas las partes.

REA-Yo me mojo y digo públicamente que sois la banda que más me apetece ver en este festival, sin desmerecer a ninguna, me parece un cartelón. Siempre he tenido la sensación de que sois una banda infravalorada después de 26 años sin parar. ¿Qué opinas de esto? ¿Cómo os sentís de reconocidos dentro de la escena portuguesa y fuera de ella? 

No hay mucho que pueda hacer. Somos una banda y si la gente no tiene suficiente interés en nosotros hoy en día, que así sea. No gastaré miles de dólares solo para promocionar y pagar giras. Simplemente no haré eso. Es fácil dar a conocer una banda hoy en día, aunque sea normal, pero requiere mucho dinero. No veo ningún propósito en eso. Creo que hemos mantenido nuestra calidad, lo que ha cambiado es el gusto de la gente. En estos días las bandas de Black con corpsepaint autenticas ya no funcionan salvo en 3 o 4 bandas. Todo el mundo quiere ver bandas con capuchas, caras cubiertas y cosas así. NO haremos eso porque eso NO es BM. Las tendencias van y vienen, lo he visto todo en 26 años con esta banda y todavía permanecemos y somos fuertes. Creo que quien ve eso respeta eso. Todo es cuestión de creer y de que la gente lo intente. Así de sencillo. No puedo hacer ni haré nada al respecto. ¡NO me arrodillaré ante las tendencias!

REA – ¿Para estos tres conciertos tenéis preparado algún tipo de setlist especial o dedicado a alguno de vuestros discos? ¿O será un repaso a vuestra trayectoria donde no faltarán «All Hail Master Satan», «The Fire God» o «Under Beastcraft»?

Haremos un setlist global, creo que 12 temas. Un repaso a 26 años de música. Desde los bárbaros y crudos comienzos pasando por la temporada melancólica hasta las últimas voladuras de cabeza. Te daremos un poco de todo y así es como nos gusta. No revelaré los nombres de los temas, mantengámoslo en secreto.

REA – ¿Que os parece el resto del cartel?

No las conozco a todas, estoy ansioso por ver lo que tienen que ofrecer. Siempre estoy dispuesto a ver «nuevas» bandas emocionantes y grandes nuevos camaradas.

REA – Largo recorrido por Europa el vuestro y junto a grandes bandas siempre. Este año también hicisteis varias fechas en Galicia. ¿De que gira, festival o evento guardáis mejor recuerdo y por qué?

Recuerdo mejor las últimas giras y conciertos de los últimos 8 años porque he estado sobrio. En los anteriores estaba jodido para recordar algo jajaja. Ha habido de todo, desde muy malo hasta increíble, tomo todo en consideración, siempre damos lo mejor de nosotros, y quiero decir siempre. Prefiero pensar en lo que podemos hacer en el futuro que ser nostálgicos sobre el pasado.

REA – En los últimos años ha habido un resurgimiento o al menos una tendencia alcista en popularidad en cuanto al black metal se refiere. ¿Como interpreta esto alguien como tú, después de tantos años metido y que tiene tan interiorizado el sentimiento de un estilo tan impopular y oscuro? ¿Que opinas del actual black sinfónico y del post-black?

¿Popular el Black Metal en esta época? ¿Dónde? No lo veo, o tal vez te estás refiriendo a la mierda de BM falso. Yo no hago eso. El Black Metal está muerto o casi muerto o, depende de nosotros mantenerlo. Todo es cuestión de tiempo, tendremos más gente de nuevo algún día, eso seguro. Las personas que escuchan esa mierda falsa terminarán dándose cuenta de lo que están escuchando e irán a por lo auténtico, y el resto renunciarán. Siempre me gustó el BM sinfónico de Limbonic Art, ¿hay nuevas bandas como esa? ¿Post-black? ¿qué es eso? ¡Eso suena a MIERDA! ¡Es mierda para hypsters del Roadburn !

REA – Involucrado en varios proyectos, ¿Qué se trae entre manos Nocturnus últimamente musicalmente? «Extra-musicalmente» te perdí la pista tras el cierre de Nightmare Prods ¿Andas haciendo algo a nivel de discográficas o producciones?

Ya no dirijo Nightmare Prods. A veces lo pienso, pero no le veo ninguna utilidad. No tengo tiempo.  Paso largos periodos fuera de casa por trabajo, así que no puedo llevar un sello. Hago trabajos de stage manager en producciones locales como la de Nile hace pocos días. Estoy muy activo y también trabajo de backliner/roadie, así que siempre estoy en conciertos. Estos dias haré el backline para D.A.D. Mi vida está alrededor de bandas y conciertos. Principalmente grandes cosas no metálicas, pero bueno. Una vez al año organizaba un festival local de BM, pero no lo hice el año pasado debido a los horarios y la falta de sitios donde hacerlo, así que veremos si puedo este año. 

REA –Es imposible no preguntarte sobre el estado de la escena extrema portuguesa. Grandes bandas en el país vecino. Yo que soy más de Death Metal he flipado con el regreso de Grog y este mismo año por fin he podido ver a Holocausto Caníbal en Madrid. En cuanto a Black como te decía, estuvo increíble el bolo de Irae y me ha gustado mucho la reconversión de Sonnellion. ¿Cuál es tu diagnóstico y como interpretas la evolución de la escena portuguesa? ¿Cual sería tu Big4 del black luso?

Siempre tuvimos una escena deathmetalera fuerte y decente, y me alegro de ver bandas clásicas tocando como Grog, Bleeding Display y alguna más. Pero también tenemos muchas bandas de MetalCore, estilo por el que no tengo ningún interés. De hecho, lo odio. La escena de black aquí ahora es muy débil. Tuvimos un montón de bandas increíbles, pero la mayoría no están activas o no tocan en vivo. Quiero decir, tenemos bandas de BM increíbles que hacen demos y álbumes, pero hacen como un concierto al año, así que realmente no puedo incluirlos. Me interesan principalmente las bandas que tocan en vivo, y que recrean una puesta en escena. También algunas bandas de Black Thrash que son increíbles pero no todas las BM, por lo que no pueden referirlas. ¿Los grandes de aquí? tal vez IRAE, en breve Grievance, todavía Decayed y no mucho más. InThyFlesh parece estar regresando, lo cual es increíble, pero aparte de esos no mucho más realmente. 

REA – Más de 25 años con la banda explorando el sendero de la mano izquierda, el satanismo, misticismo y oscuridad en general. ¿Dónde buscáis la motivación para seguir? Porque esto no puede tratarse solo de hacer música. 

Es muy simple, desde que abracé la Luz de Lucifer he tenido una fuerza renovada para continuar, para mejorarme a mí mismo, para hacer cosas grandiosas. Realmente no es tan difícil para mí. Podría hacer un álbum incluso todos los años porque tengo la inspiración de no hacerlo porque no veo ninguna razón para lanzar tantas cosas en estos días. Mejor hacer menos y ser relevante. Me veo a mí mismo como una persona que tiene la suerte de ser parte de esto. Por supuesto, de hecho odio la escena exagerada, pero al final, cuando estoy en el escenario o componiendo, siento cosas que nunca puedo sentir en ningún otro caso. Y estoy agradecido por eso. 

REA – Bueno, pues deseando poder disfrutar de vosotros el próximo 4 de Octubre, podéis enviar un mensaje a nuestros lectores explicando porqué no pueden perderse ninguna de vuestras tres fechas en España.

But one of the most heard is, without a doubt, Corpus Christii. Entity born from the evil spells of Nocturnus Horrendus (Morte Incandescente, Storm Legion and ex-Irae live among others) and Ignis Nox, on a date as distant but as present in memory as it is 1998. Since then, despite numerous changes, new energies have been giving more and more strength, and Corpus Christii continues then and now as a banner of good dark arts that should never have been lost.

After years without stepping on Barcelona or Madrid lands and being a first in Valencia, they will demonstrate why their great old school reserve Black Metal is still as forceful as from the first day, if not more, after 26 years in the gap. We did not miss the opportunity to ask the great Nocturnus Horrendus a few questions…

REA-Welcome to our humble abode, it is a pleasure to have you here.

NOCTURNUS HORRENDUS – The pleasure is mine.

REA-I think there are plenty of presentations after more than 25 years dedicated to black metal. How does it take to be one of the most important bands in the Portuguese blacker scene, for not deciding the most representative and prolific or at least one of the best known? Tell us what time the band is at.

Just the other day I was having that conversation with Vulturius from IRAE. It is indeed with great sacrifice and strength that I have endured the toughest of battles when it comes to having a band.Has been 26 years full of devotion and real pride for what truly is Black Metal. I can only say I feel priviliged I am part of such a scene and that I lived the old days. Such days that new people will never experience and that is a real shame. Still we are here today and we do all so we proceed with our cause to spread the Light of Lucifer and make people feel part of something important.We now have been with a new strenght and will to do more and continue to fight against all that is fake plastic shameful Black Metal. Nothing has truly changed for me, I am the same person and feel this as if I still was 17 or whatever. The path continues on!

REA-Nine full lengths plus numerous ep’s and splits. An enviable tray that has gone through several stages in sound, and in which you imagine that there have been difficulties depending on you, Nocturnus. Tell us about the turning points, for better or for worse, within the Corpus Christii timeline. 

Like any band we had our issues, mostly trying to get decent people to play with us and trying to get concerts. It was a real battle to make Portuguese BM relevent. Was many years trying to show we do our own thing, we are not copy cats. Of course we have our influences like so many but I have my own touch and normally people who listen to our band know what their are listening to.I try to not think so much about the past dificulties and focus on today because it is becoming harder and harder to get concerts and just not lose money. I never did this to make a carreer but am also not willing to lose money. There is less venues, more expenses, in some cases less public and such. So one must just continue his path and try all that can be done.

REA- «The Bitter End of Old» (Immortal Frost, 2022) was your last published full length. An album in which you continued on the path of somewhat experimental and orthodox sound, or at least different, that you already offered in the great «Delusion» (2017, Folter Recs). Album that received some bad criticism than another. Tell us or explain how the sound evolution of Corpus Christii has developed and what the reasons have been. What level of satisfaction have you reached with «The Bitter End …»?

I care for what our fans care not for critics. I am very proud of Delusion and I believe that if people carefully listen to it will like it. Our main battle is that our albums are the so call «growers», That you need to listen more in order to truly understand it and these days not that many people care to listen really to anything. Everything is «now now» and instant safisfaction. We are not about that. I care for mind fuckness, for making it a challenge to the listener. I mean, we are not AC/DC, you must listen carefully and open the mind. Still who cares, who does the effort fine, who doesnt fuck it. The Bitter End…might be a bit of a «easier» album still it has so much fucked up shit that people might get somewhat surprised. But once again, who cares really ? I do what I want to do and I never want to do the same precise thing twice, that is for lame ass people with limited talent.

REA- The main reason you pass through here is the imminent mini-tour that will take you through Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia within the collaborative NOX AETERNA festival. I suppose that with great desire and enthusiasm before an opportunity like this? First time in Valencia if I’m not mistaken. 

First time in Valencia yes. I find it very odd we play so little in Spain, to our brothers. I was for many years not even playing there or just in Vigo. We always had a good connection with Vigo. Maybe things will change now. I dont mind it has been so many years. We are eager to play for our brothers and sisters in Spain. That is all that matters really. I believe Spain BM scene has a lot to deliver and am glad to be part of it.

REA – Throughout your extensive career you have known how to surround yourself with great musicians. With what training do you present yourself in this minitour? 

We will go with the same drummer and bass player. Andrecadente on drums who has been with us on and off for a long time and recorded drums for the last two albums. Koraxid on bass that has been with us on bass for some 3 years now from the great local band Grievance(check it out). And D.S. on guitar, session for these days, he plays in IRAE and Necrobode and used to be in Analepsy. J Goat is not available since he is on tour with Vltimas so we have to come a session guy that will do his job just fine.  

REA – We had the opportunity to see D. S. in the gig that Irae and Necrobode scored a few days ago in Madrid with Sargeist. Has he told you about his feelings that day? A venue with a certain acoustic complication, but to which we were able to get the most out that day. 

I am prepared for most situations, we are professionals and we always make it work somehow. 

REA – These types of initiatives are carried out by non lucrative associations dedicated to extreme metal and partly those guilty of the scene continuing to survive due to the little opportunity that there are by other professional media such as promoters, agencies and others. How did you contact to enter such an interesting group package? How do you value the initiative? 

I guess I was contacted? cant remember really. We apreciate all iniciatives. All that matters in the end if that things happen and it goes alright for everyone. 

REA-I could say that you are the band that I want to see the most at this festival, without detracting from any, it seems to me a poster. I have always had the feeling that you are an undervalued band after 26 years without stopping. What do you think of this? How do you feel recognized within and outside the Portuguese scene? 

There is not much I can do. We are a band and people dont have enough interest in us these days so be it. I wont go around spending thounsands just to promote and pay for tour packages. I just wont do that. It is easy to make a band known these days even if average but requires a lot of money. i see no purpose in that. I think we have maintained our quality what has changed is the people taste. You can see that these days proper true corpse paint BM are not doing very well unless some 3 or 4 bands. Everyone wants to see bands with hood and covered faces and such. We will NOT do such a trend for that is NOT BM. Truth si trends come and go, I have seen it all in 26 years with this band and still we remain and we are strong and that is it. I think who sees that respect that. It is all a question of believing and people giving a try. That simple. Cant do and wont do anything about that. I will NOT fold my knee to trends!

REA – Have you prepared any special setlist for these three concerts or one dedicated to one of your albums? Or will it be a review of your career where «All Hail Master Satan», «The Fire God» or «Under Beastcraft» will not be missing?

We will do an overall setlist, I believe 12 tracks. A wide spread of 26 years of music. From the barbaric raw beginnings to the melancholic middle term and the now fucked in the end compositions. We will give you a bit of all and that is how we like it. I will not reveal title names, lets keep it a secret.

REA – What do you think of the rest of the line-up?

Dont know all, am eager to see what they have to deliver. I am always up to see «new» exciting bands and great new comrades.

REA – Long tours across Europe and always alongside great bands. This year you also did several dates in Galicia. Which tour, festival or event do you remember best and why?

I remember better the last tours and gigs from the last 8 years cos I have been sober, before I was too fucked up to remember anything hahaha. I have had it all, from real bad to amazing, I take all in consideration, we always give our best, and I do mean always. I prefer thinking what we can do in the future than be nostalgic about the past. That I do in my own time.

REA – In recent years there has been a resurgence or at least an upward trend in popularity as far as black metal is concerned. How does someone like you interpret this, after so many years involved and who has so internalized the feeling of such an unpopular and dark style? What do you think of the current symphonic black and post-black?

Populatiry in BM these days ? where ? I dont see it, or maybe you are calling fake shit BM. I dont do that. BM is close to dead or in fact dead and it is up to us to keep it kicking ass. It is all a question of time, we will have more people again someday, it is sure. People who listen not to fake shit will end up realizing what they are listening to and go for the real deal, and the others will quit all together. Always liked Symphonic BM like Limbonic Art and such, is there new bands like that? post-black? what is that? sound to me like SHIT! Hypster Roadburn CRAP!

REA – Involved in several projects, what is Nocturnus up to lately musically? Non musically, I lost track of you after the closure of Nightmare prods. Are you doing anything in terms of record labels or productions?

I no longer run Nightmare Prod. Sometimes I think about it but I dont see any use. I dont have any time.  For long period at a time I barely am home cos of work so I cannot run a label. Still I do a lot of Stage Manager work on the side for a small local producer. like days ago I co-organized Nile and did Stage Manager. work. So I am active, also my job is of a backliner/roadie so I am always at concerts. Tomorrow I will do backline for D.A.D. so yeah. My life is all around bands and concerts. Mostly big non Metal stuff but still. Once a year I was organizing a local BM fest but didnt do it last year due to schedules and lack of venues so lets see this year. 

REA –It’s impossible not to ask you about the state of the Portuguese extreme scene. Great bands in the neighbouring country. I’m more of a Death Metal fan and I was blown away by the return of Grog and this year I was finally able to see Holocausto Caníbal in Madrid. As for Black, as I was saying, Irae’s gig was incredible and I really liked Sonnellion’s reconversion. What is your diagnosis and how do you interpret the evolution of the Portuguese scene? Who would be your Big 4 of Portuguese black?

We always had a decent strong DM scene and I am glad to still see old bands playing like Grog and Bleeding Display and more. But we also have many MetalCore kinda bands and I have zero interest in that. in fact I hate it. the BM scene here now is very weak. We had a bunch of amazing bands but most are not active or do not play live. I mean, we have amazing BM bands that do demos and albums but do like one concerts a year so I cannot really include them. I care mostly for live bands, who can recreate their scene live. Also some Black Thrash bands that are awesome but not really all BM so cannot refer them. So big here ? maybe IRAE, soon Grievance, still Decayed and not much more. InThyFlesh seem to be coming back which is awesome but besides that not much really. 

REA – More than 25 years with the band exploring the left-hand path, Satanism, mysticism and darkness in general. Where do you look for the motivation to continue? Because this can’t just be about making music.

It is very simple, ever since I embraced the Light of Lucifer I have had a renew strength to continue, to better myself, to do grandiose things. It really isnt that hard for me. I could do an album even every year cos I have the inspiration I just dont do it for I see no reason to release so much stuff these days. Better to do less and be relevent. I see myself as a person who is fortunate to be part of this. Of course I in fact hate the scene overal but in the end when I am on stage or composing I feel things I cant ever feel in any other case. And I am grateful for that.
